900 acre Wetland Village Development

Dengkil, Malaysia

The project was planned to showcase the wetland ecosystem as an ecological attraction and to support its continued conservation. With the sustainable use of wetlands through innovative planning strategies found all over the world, TAK proposed the creation of destination that promotes environmental sustainability and enhances the nature features of the region while also stimulating eco-tourism and new commercial opportunities for nearby communities. These commercial benefits could be extensive, providing new commerce for the region and an element of self-sustainability. Additionally, the wetland community will serve as a retreat center for the Malaysian Federal Government and a venue of suitable standing to host visiting dignitaries , as a residential community in wetland environment, and as an extensive wetland park with research facilities.

TAK’s ingenious strategy to combine wetland conservation, sustainable use, and national leadership functions became important influences in the company’s future environmental projects.
