Bio Valley Malaysia (3 Institutes)

Dengkil, Malaysia

For its visionary concept to elevate Malaysia as a world leader in the field of biotechnology, TAK proposed an Agro-technology Institute, a Genomics and Molecular Biology Institute, a Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical Biotechnology Institute, and a business development center planned within the landscaped confines of the Multimedia Super Corridor in the Klang Valley.

The merits of a bio-valley across economic, social and environmental sectors are extensive and can permeate at all levels. These can be readily seen in Europe’s well established and highly regarded ‘biovalley’ which encompasses three clusters: BioValley Basel of Switzerland, BioValley Baden-Wurttemberg of Germany and France’s BioValley Alscace. The most notable benefits Bio Valley Malaysia would bring to the region include, but are not limited to:

  • significant job growth
  • Research opportunities
  • Commercial collaborations (economic)

Planned in association with the late Kisho Kurukawa – a leading Japanese architect and one of the founders of the Metabolism Movement, BioValley Malaysia represented TAK’s foresight on knowledge-based industries as important to the country’s step towards industrialized status.
